IAGI strives to provide a forum for geosynthetics installers to advance installation and construction techniques and to strengthen the knowledge, image, and communication within the industry.  IAGI works to increase the industry's awareness of and appreciation for the professional geosynthetics installers.

Founded in 1995, the International Association of Geosynthetics Installers is the professional association representing geosynthetic material installers and their industry partners. The founding members of IAGI were passionately committed to promoting the level of professionalism for geosynthetic installers. These founders created an active organization that has evolved and continues to serve the needs of the industry since then.

Constructing Geomembrane T-Seams

When installing geomembranes, welding T-seams, also referred to as butt joints, is an unavoidable requirement. T-seams occur at panel intersections, corners, and transition areas, creating a three-dimensional, three-layer overlap that forms a "T" configuration. This geometry makes T-seams more challenging to weld and test compared to standard two-layer seams, whether using a solid hot wedge, dual-track hot wedge, or chemical adhesive seam.
